Our Spaceships are perfectly designed for long range self-drive boat hire experience. We highly recommend a 4 hour cruise to take in the sites. Our boats allow from Docklands passing the following land marks:

Once passing Herrig Island enjoy you have the river to yourselves with no other grey boats to be seen due to their limited speed of 4 knots and limited range ability.
No boat license is required to self-drive however restrictions do apply. For non licensed drivers speed restrictions apply as well as geographical distances apply.
All sefaty gear is provided and infants under 10 years of age musr where a lifejacket.
This activity suits any age group: Babies in Prams through Grandparents alike can have an enjoyable time!
To safely self-drive a boat its most important to check the weather conditions of the day. Checking the weather forecast for strong winds is most important. Boats should not go out during weather warning days notified by the Bureau of Meterology. The BOM app can be downloaded from the app store and will provide details of weather conditions. We do not allow boats to venture out during wind warnings.

We also have our self-drive Polycraft boats suitable for bay cruising and fishing. Our boats are well suited for the bay and come with all the safety gear and are equiped with depth sounders. A detailed briefing is provided how to navigate safely in the bay. We help our guests download the boating navigation app called “Navionics” which provide clarity where the shallow areas are to prevent boat groundings. Our polycraft boats are also very popular for fishing in the bay. We provide all fishing gear, bait and tackle service.
