The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Boat Hand to join our team. This is a junior entry-level position with great potential for a long-term career in the marine industry, including progression to Boat Captain for the right candidate.
As a Boat Hand, you will be the face of Boat4Hire, ensuring customers are well-briefed, boats are maintained to a high standard, and operations run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct clear and friendly customer safety briefings on how to drive and handle a boat.

Assist with customer service, including check-in, answering questions, and ensuring a positive experience.

Perform boat cleaning and ensure vessels are tidy, safe, and ready for hire.

Handle boat refueling and basic maintenance tasks.

Support the operational team with launching, docking, and turnaround of boats.

Represent Boat4Hire professionally and contribute to a safe, customer-focused boating environment.
Requirements

Recreational Boat Licence (RBL) – essential.

Strong people skills and a friendly, approachable manner.

Willingness to learn and take direction from senior crew.

Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.

A can-do attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic.

Previous experience in hospitality, tourism, or customer service is an advantage (but not essential).
